Main types of shipping
Dry Van Shipping
Dry vans are trailers attached to semi-trucks, widely used for shipping large quantities of cargo. Dry van shipping is often the preferred transportation method due to its high availability and the numerous benefits of having an enclosed trailer throughout the delivery process. Dry vans, however, do not provide any temperature control.
Reefer Shipping
Reefers are refrigerated trailers that get attached to power units. They are also very popular and widely used for transporting cargo. Just like dry vans, reefers protect the cargo inside from the natural elements, however, they are used specifically for goods that require temperature or moist control. That could include both cold, cool or heated goods.
